Reba Lodge No. 515 Brantford, ON

In Brantford, Masonry was served by two Lodges for a long period of time, but these two Lodges (Brant No. 45 and Doric. No. 121) had grown so large that many believed there was room for at least two more lodges in Brantford, and out of that agitation came the Lodges of Ozias No. 508 and Reba No. 515.

Brant Lodge No. 45, Brantford, became a grandmother when Doric Lodge No. 121, Brantford, supplied the nucleus of the members for the formation of Reba Lodge No. 515.

The warrant of Constitution was dated July 15, 1914 and was signed by the Grand Master, Most Worshipful Brother W. David McPherson.

Reba Lodge No. 515, which now has well over 300 members in 1880, grew from those who constituted its charter members, nine of these agreed to be the first officers with William R. McCormick, the Worshipful Master, SW Bro. Thomas J. Kirkby, and JW Bro. George K. Wedlake.

Reba Lodge met in the Temple Building, 76-78 Dalhousie Street, In 1953 moved to the Brantford Masonic Temple building at 192 Greenwich which is where we stayed until 2005, when the Brantford Masonic Temple was sold. For the duration of that year we took up temporary residence at the St. George Temple in St. George, and in 2006 we took up residence with the I.O.O.F (International Order of Odd Fellows) and moved into the Rebekah Temple in Brantford at 39 Johson Road.

And finally has found a new home in Paris Ontario sharing St. John No. 82's lodge.

On June 23, 2014 R.W.Bro Donald Leon Sandison was presented with his 70 Year Pin. This memorable ceremony hosted by Reba Lodge and co-hosted by St. Johnís Lodge of Paris. Over 200 Masons, many from Brant District and others from neighbouring districts honoured R.W.Bro. Sandison by attending the evening.
