Message from the D.D.G.M. of Brant District

Brethren- Hoping all is well with you and your families and that were all continuing safe practices.

I’ve recently been approached by a Worshipful Master regarding a possible fundraising draw (50/50)that the district would hold. I applied for dispensation and I was asked to supply Grand Lodge with some answers that I need help with.

They need to know how we’re going to dispense tickets to members while maintaining distancing. They also want to know how we’re going to collect the money while maintaining social distancing. I need suggestions to pursue this matter.

The proceeds would go to lodges in our district that seek benevolence. All lodges are taking a hit because they rely on fundraising throughout the year and some lodges rent the hall to other groups and this has all halted due to the pandemic. I believe it to be a worthy cause and would like to pursue this. The draw would be licensed and the district would need a committee to see that the draw is a success.
